V-Day Johns Creek and V-Day Oglethorpe a Roaring Success!

V-Day is a national organization to raise awareness and funds for local domestic violence and sexual assault programs. Theater groups around the country direct and perform the Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler in an effort to raise awareness and support for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. This year the event was hosted for us twice, by two wonderful theater groups!

The Man Presents from Performing Arts North performed the Vagina Monologues February 25th and 26th in Johns Creek. Their performance highlighted the relationships between mothers and daughters who performed together! A special thanks goes out to Daniel Glenn and Margarita Moldovan for hosting and directing a wonderful show!   The AJC highlighted their opening and mentioned Stronghold in a an article on April 24th 2011.   read more >>

The Student Theater at Oglethorpe University performed the Vagina Monologues March 11th and 12th. The entire cast and crew was made up of students from Oglethorpe, some of which had never acted before but were drawn in an effort to support the cause. A special thanks goes out to Hillary Heath and Sonya Myers for hosting and directing another fantastic show!
